Beaches and near-coast environments are crucial and vital for individual communities and the economy in Saint Lucia and the wider Caribbean region. Yet, these environments are affected negatively by, among others, human interaction, land-based pollution, coastal degradation and climate change.

To raise the awareness about the important role of beaches, what benefits a beach provides, what negatively impacts beaches and how the degradation of beaches along the Caribbean coasts can be prevented, the CATS Programme proudly presents a four-part documentary about the numerous facets of beaches.
