Water Quality Assessment in the Moliniere-Beausejour Watershed

posted on

The CATS-Programme organised a water quality assessment in the Moliniere-Beausejour Watershed in Grenada and a training for MPA rangers and Environmental Health officers as well as an awareness workshop for farmers. The sessions and assessment was facilitated by Ermine Herman from CARPHA’s Environmental Health and Sustainable Development Department based in Saint Lucia.

In April 2015 Ermine Herman, Environmental Health and Sustainable Development Department, CARPHA, undertook a water quality assessment along the Moliniere-Beausejour Watershed draining into the Moliniere-Beausejour Marine Protected Area in Grenada. The Caribbean Aqua-Terrestrial Solutions Programme and its climate change component are focusing their activities in Grenada on this area – to implement a Ridge-to-Reef approach collaborating with the North East Farmers Organisation.
